health & Wellness
I’m not entirely sure who benefits more from this post? You or me… because now I have all out easy weeknight dinner recipes in one place. I swear these few meals are on repeat at our house and this is essentially what we eat all the time!! We have leftovers or salads for lunches too!
The thing about losing weight is that if you do it right and with the right mindset, two things happen:
Your tastes really truly change and you crave a variety of healthy foods!!
You aren’t looking to food to fix your stress, emotions, or insecurities so you see food as fuel and picking healthy things and eating them over and over ain’t no thing.
Here’s the good, the bad, the raw of my journey. I share this in hopes that if you see any similarities in your journey, it helps you to not feel alone. I want you to know that if I can do it, so can you. If I can get through these things… so can you.
These are the 4 basic principles I’ve found myself eating by during this pregnancy. I’m so glad that in the year and half prior to this, I’ve solidified the desire and love of healthy habits – which made these things come easily and naturally to me. So grateful for that.
If I didn’t struggle with my weight, I wouldn’t be able to relate to others. I wouldn’t be able to be as empathetic, to say “me too!” when someone tells me they feel like getting healthy is an insurmountable cliff to climb.
What if getting healthy was less about how your butt looks in jeans?
What if it wasn’t about chasing the elusive and impossible standard of bodily perfection?
What if it was less about you and more about others?
What if you decided to finally lose the weight you’ve been trying to lose because you’re tired of not showing up in your world as your best, most energetic, vibrant self?
